We're looking for a curious and driven Data Scientist Intern to join our team and work on real-world problems in e-commerce and marketplace optimization. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in applying data science to business problems at scale.

🔍 What You’ll Do

• Support both analytical and data engineering workflows, with a strong focus on web data collection. You will:

  • Assist in building and maintaining scalable, respectful web scrapers using APIs and headless browsers, with features like proxy rotation, session management, and CAPTCHA/bot mitigation.

  • Automate incremental data updates using techniques like diffing, delta APIs, sitemaps, and timestamp tracking to keep pricing and inventory data fresh.

  • Clean, normalize, and integrate multi-source datasets (e.g., de-duplicate SKUs, standardize units and currencies, map sellers/entities).

  • Analyze large-scale structured and unstructured data to uncover trends, inform decisions, and evaluate new product features or business strategies.

  • Support the development and validation of predictive models for pricing, inventory, or user behavior.

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to translate insights into data-driven solutions.

  • Build internal data tools, dashboards, and prototypes to support decision-making across teams.

🎓 Who You Are

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related disciplines.

• Solid understanding of statistics, machine learning, and data analytics.

• Experience with SQL and Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.

• Familiarity with basic concepts in machine learning, A/B testing, or causal inference is a plus.

• A fast learner who is proactive, impact-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

🌟 Bonus Points For

• Previous internship or project experience in e-commerce, online marketplaces, or similar industries.

• Exposure to deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.

• Experience with data visualization tools or dashboards (e.g. Tableau, Plotly, Streamlit).

• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
